Converting video resolution (Android)

  1. Tap and hold a thumbnail on the thumbnail list screen until you enter the Selection mode.
  2. Tap the desired video to be converted.
  3. Tap (*) - [Convert Video].

    * The [] icon is not displayed on the screen of some Android devices. If the [] icon is not displayed on your screen, press the main menu button located outside of the screen.

  4. Tap the desired resolution, then tap [OK].
    • 1080p mode

      Resolution 1920×1080

      Bit rate approx. 6 Mbps

      Maximum length 90 minutes

    • 720p mode

      Resolution 1280×720

      Bit rate approx. 4 M Mbps

      Maximum length 120 minutes

    • VGA mode

      Resolution 640×480, or 640×360(*)

      Bit rate approx. 1.5 Mbps

      Maximum length 360 minutes

    • QVGA mode

      Resolution 320×480, or 320×180(*)

      Bit rate approx. 768 Kbps

      Maximum length 360 minutes

    * Resolution varies depending on the aspect ratio of the video to be converted.

Hint

  • If the video to be converted exceeds the maximum length, the portion exceeding the maximum length will not be converted. To convert longer video, select a lower resolution mode.
  • If a resolution higher than that of the video to be converted is selected, conversion is performed at a resolution closest to the original video.
  • The file format of converted video is MP4 and codec is MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) AAC-LC.
  • The frame rate may vary depending on the video to be converted.

Note

  • This function cannot be used when you have signed in to PCS in "Read-Only Access" mode.
  • Images copied to a memory card or USB device cannot be converted.
