About the indicators

(on/standby) indicator

Turns off
The speaker is in the standby mode.
Lights up (green)
The speaker is turned on.
Lights up (orange)
The speaker is in the BLUETOOTH/Network standby mode.
The BLUETOOTH/Network standby function can be set only when the speaker is connected to an AC outlet via the AC adaptor. When the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only, the BLUETOOTH/Network standby function is not available.
Flashes (green)
  • If you turn off the speaker, the indicator flashes slowly in green, then lights up in orange or turns off. While the indicator is flashing, the speaker is not operational.
  • When you tap the VOL (volume) -/+ button, the indicator flashes once or three times according to the volume adjustment.
Flashes (red)
The speaker is in protect mode, or the software update has failed. See "The power indicator flashes in red."

CHARGE indicator

Turns off
Charging of the speaker is completed.
Lights up
The speaker is charging.
Flashes slowly
The built-in battery is running low and needs to be charged. In this state, the speaker cannot supply power to other devices.
Flashes three times and turns off
If the CHARGE indicator flashes three times and goes off when you turn on the speaker, the battery is empty and needs to be charged. 

LINK indicator

Turns off
The speaker is not connected to a network.
Lights up (orange)
The speaker is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Lights up (pink)
The speaker is connected to a wired network.
Flashes (orange)
The speaker is in the process of connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
Flashes (pink)
The speaker is in the process of connecting to a wired network.
Lights up (green or light blue)
The speaker is connected to a music service.
Flashes (red)
The network connection failed.
Lights up (red)
The network connection failed, or connection failed even though the network setting is complete.

AUDIO IN indicator*1*2

Lights up (white)
The speaker is in the AUDIO IN mode.

(BLUETOOTH) PAIRING indicator*1*2*3*4

Lights up (white)
The speaker is connected to a BLUETOOTH device.
Flashes quickly (white)
The speaker is pairing with a BLUETOOTH device.
Flashes (white)
The speaker is searching for a BLUETOOTH device to connect.

NETWORK indicator*1*2*3

Lights up (white)
The speaker is in the NETWORK mode.
Flashes (white)
The speaker is receiving an audio file via the network.

UPDATE button

Lights up (orange)
The speaker detects the availability of a software update while connected to the internet. When you tap and hold the lit button, the update of the speaker’s software is started.
Flashes (orange)
  • The speaker is updating the software. During the update, you cannot operate the speaker.
  • When the speaker turns on for the first time after the software update, the UPDATE button flashes three times to inform you that the update is completed.

*1 If software update fails, the indicator also lights up.

*2 When checking Wi-Fi signal strength, the indicator also flashes.

*3 When switching the wireless function to on or off, the indicator also flashes.

*4 When switching the BLUETOOTH audio streaming, the indicator also flashes.
