Performing easy setup of the digital signature function

When you enable the digital signature function, a wizard is displayed on the camera, enabling you to easily complete setup from the initial settings for the digital signature to importing the certificate for C2PA.

Easy setup may not be available on some models. If the wizard does not appear, refer to “Importing a certificate for C2PA compatibility,” “ Obtaining the server date and time ,” and “ Writing a digital signature on images ” and perform setup in that order.

Initial settings for the digital signature

  • [Create Key Pair]
  • [Server Date-time Acquisition]
  • [Write Digital Signature]
  • [Write Digital Signature]/[Write Digital Signature] *
  • [Auto Update Server Datetime]

*The icons may differ depending on the model you are using.

Importing the certificate for C2PA

If a certificate file for C2PA is saved on the memory card, the certificate for C2PA will be imported next. For details, refer to “Importing a certificate for C2PA compatibility.”

Note

  • If you try to perform the easy setup and see the message [Failed to install all licenses.] or [Failed to install some license files. Reboot to install the successfully installed licenses.], the following may be the causes of the license activation failure.
    • The maximum number of installable licenses has been reached.
      You can only activate two of the same licenses.
    • The license was previously installed.
    You can check information on the licenses installed to your camera or delete licenses from MENU → [Setup] → [Setup Option] → [Manage Licenses].
