System requirements for a wired LAN connection
The following system environment is required to use the network function of the receiver via a wired LAN connection.
Router
- Use a router compatible with transmission speeds of 100 Mbps or greater.
- We recommend that you use a router equipped with a built-in DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server because the default setting on the receiver is DHCP.
This function automatically assigns IP addresses to devices on the LAN.
LAN cable
- We recommend using a normal shielded type cable for a wired LAN to avoid electric noise.
- Some flat-type LAN cables are easily affected by noise.
- A CAT5e or greater Ethernet cable is required for transmission speed of 1,000 Mbps. (CAT6 is recommended.) (for STR-ZA3000ES)
