Selecting the sound effect
When playing back recorded files or music files, you can set a suitable effect to be used when the music is played back.
- In the playback stop or playback mode of a music file, press the OPTION button to display the OPTION menu, select “Effect,” and then press the button.
- Press or to select the effect you want for the playback, and then press the button.
Descriptions of menu items
You can select from the following menu items.
OFF :
Disables the effects function.
(Default setting)
Pop ():
Emphasizes middle ranges, ideal for vocals.
Rock ():
Emphasizes high and low ranges for a powerful sound.
Jazz ():
Emphasizes high ranges for a lively sound.
Bass1 ():
Emphasizes the bass.
Bass2 ():
Emphasizes the bass sound further.
Custom ():
You can design your own custom sound level using 5 bands and “CLEAR BASS.”
Hint
- If you enable “Upsampling,” the Effect function is disabled.
- When you play back DSD (.dsf/.dff) file, the Effect function is disabled.
