Moving a file to a different folder
Moves the selected file to the selected folder.
- Select the file you want to move.
- In the stop mode, press the OPTION button to display the OPTION menu, select “Move/Copy File,” and then press the
button.

to select “Move to Built-In Memory” or “Move to Memory Card,” and then press the button. - Press or to select the area that you want to move the file into from “
Recorded Files” or “
Music,” and then press the button. - Press or to select the folder that you want to move the file into, and then press the button.
“Please wait” appears and the file is moved to the last position in the destination folder.
When you move a file to another folder, the original file in the previous folder is erased.
Note
- You cannot move a protected file. To move the file, release the protection first and then move the file.
Hint
- To cancel a move operation while moving a file, press the HOME/BACK button while “Please wait” is displayed in step 5, and then select “Yes.”
