Wireless LAN connection cannot be set up.

Turn off, then turn on the power of the smartphone, wireless LAN router or PCS, and see whether the connection can be established. Sometimes connection can be established by turning off the power once.

  • The number of devices that can be registered to the wireless LAN router might have reached the maximum.

    Check the setting of the wireless LAN router to know whether more devices can be registered to the wireless LAN router.

  • Make sure that your wireless LAN router is turned on.
  • Wireless communication range may be reduced depending on the immediate surroundings such as obstacles between PCS and the wireless LAN router, electromagnetic interference and wall materials. Change the install location of PCS, or move PCS close to the wireless LAN router.
  • Make sure that the password used to connect to the wireless LAN router is correct. And check that the settings specific to your wireless LAN router (such as a static IP address) are correctly set.
  • If your wireless LAN router is set to hide its SSID, it does not appear in the SSID list. Check the SSID of the router to manually set up, or stop hiding the SSID during setup.
  • Some hotspots (public access wireless LAN) require a login ID and password to be input via a web browser to access the wireless LAN connection provided. Consult the service provider of the hotspot.
  • Equipment that uses the 2.4 GHz band (such as a microwave oven and Bluetooth devices) may be working near PCS. Move PCS away from such equipment, or turn the equipment off.
