Bokeh effect

You can take photos and record videos with the Bokeh effect. The Bokeh effect decreases the focus of the background to emphasize objects in the foreground, for an artistic effect.

  1. In the BASIC (Basic) mode, swipe left or right on the shortcut icons to find (Bokeh icon), and then tap it.
(Bokeh icon) turns orange and the Bokeh effect turns on.
  2. Drag the slider to adjust.

To hide the slider, tap (Close button) or the viewfinder.

To turn the Bokeh effect off, tap [Off].

  3. Tap the screen shutter button or press the device shutter button.

Note

  • The Bokeh effect is not available when (Bokeh icon) is grayed out.
  • Zooming is not available while using the Bokeh effect.
  • You cannot change the Bokeh effect setting during recording.

Hint

  • You can shoot images continuously at a maximum rate of 10 images per second with the Bokeh effect in a photo mode. Tap the Drive mode button, and then select [Continuous shooting: Lo]. Even if you select a continuous shooting setting other than [Continuous shooting: Lo], it will automatically change to [Continuous shooting: Lo] when the Bokeh effect is turned on.
