About the indicators
CHARGE indicator (orange)
Turns off | The speaker has completed charging. |
Lights up | The speaker is being charged. |
Flashes slowly | The built-in battery is running at less than 10% and needs to be charged. In this state, the speaker cannot supply power to other devices. |
Flashes 3 times and turns off | If the CHARGE indicator flashes 3 times and goes off when you turn on the speaker, the built-in battery is empty and needs to be charged. |
Note
- A speaker that is in use can be charged if it is connected to an AC outlet via the AC adaptor (supplied) or a USB AC adaptor (commercially available), or connected to a booted computer. In this case, it may take longer to charge the built-in battery depending on the conditions of use. Therefore, it is recommended to turn off the speaker when charging.
- When you use the speaker at a loud volume for a long time, the built-in battery may run low even if the speaker is connected to an AC outlet via the AC adaptor (supplied) or a USB AC adaptor (commercially available), or connected to a booted computer. As a result, sound becomes low. This is not a malfunction. Turn off the speaker and charge the built-in battery sufficiently.
- In an extremely cold or hot environment, charging stops for safety. If charging takes a long time, it also makes charging of the speaker stop. To resolve these issues, disconnect the AC adaptor or micro-USB cable from the speaker and connect it again within an operating temperature between 5 °C and 35 °C (41 °F and 95 °F).

Depending on the progress of the software update, the state that the indicator flashes in green changes. In each update, the indicator flashes in green 5 times, then 4 times, 3 times, twice, once, and turns off*.
When the speaker turns on for the first time after the software update, the indicator flashes 3 times in green or white to inform you that the update has completed.
When the software update ends in error, the indicator flashes in red or orange.
When the built-in battery is running at less than 10%, the indicator flashes in green or white slowly. In this state, the speaker cannot supply power to other devices.
