Importing photographs

To view 3D photographs or 3D panoramic photographs, you must import them into the PlayMemories™ 4K edition application.

Importing photographs

To import photographs, connect the digital camera or the USB device with the storage media inserted to your PS3™ system using a USB cable.
Then select [Import photographs] from the menu and follow the instructions displayed on the screen to complete importing.

Selecting a device
Select a device that is connected to the PS3™ system.

  • A maximum of 4 devices can be displayed.
  • Some devices may be displayed as multiple devices.

Selecting a folder
You can select whether to import all the photographs in the device or some of the pictures by selecting one of the following options:

  • The folder saved on the digital camera
  • The PICTURE folder saved on a PS3™ or PSP™ system
  • The pictures located in the root directory of the device
  • The folders located in the root directory of the device

Copying
You can import files as follows.

  • Maximum size: 65535 pixels (width) x 65535 pixels (height) *
  • Maximum number of images that can be saved: 149,998

* The resolution, transmited or displayed, from the PS3 to the VPL-VW1000ES depends on the resolution set in Video Output Settings.

Synchronization with the XMB™ menu

To export photographs to[Photo] on the XMB™ menu, select [Synchronize with XMB™] from the main menu on the title screen.
Synchronization lets you view the photographs in PlayMemories™ 4K edition under[Photo] on the XMP™ menu , and you can also view the images imported with XMP™ on the PlayMemories™ 4K edition menu.

* 3D photographs and multi angle photographs are also displayed as thumbnails under[Photo] on the XMB™ menu.

Misc.

  • You cannot export photographs to storage media using the PlayMemories™ 4K edition application directly.
  • The PlayMemories™ 4K edition application does not support importing photographs from some types of digital cameras and storage media.
  • Be careful not to infringe on the intellectual property rights of other parties.
