The speaker is not responding to any voice commands

  • When the (microphone mute) indicator is lit in red, the built-in microphones are turned off and the speaker is incapable of detecting voice commands. Press the(microphone mute) button.

    In a noisy place or a place that is exposed to strong winds or echoes (sound reflections), the speaker may fail to detect the voice command. In such a case, press and hold the (play) button until the speaker responds (for about 3 seconds). This action is equivalent to saying “Alexa” to the speaker.

  • Make sure that the built-in microphones are not blocked.

  • You may have given the voice command too quickly for your speaker to detect. Try talking to the speaker a little more slowly.
