Using the speaker with less power consumption of the rechargeable battery

While the speaker is running on power from the built-in battery, you can use the speaker for a longer period of time by reducing power consumption.

STAMINA

While the STAMINA power option is activated on the speaker that is running on power from the built-in battery, you can enjoy music playback with less power consumption and for a longer period of time.

At the time of purchase, the STAMINA power option is deactivated. You can activate the option by doing either of the following:

  • On “Sony | Music Center,” tap [SRS-XE300] - [Settings] - [Power Option] - [Power Optimization], and then select the check box for [STAMINA(Prioritize Battery)].

  • Press and hold the BATT (battery)/STAMINA button on the speaker for about 2 seconds.

    The STAMINA indicator lights up in white to indicate that the STAMINA power option is activated.

    To deactivate the STAMINA power option, press and hold the BATT (battery)/STAMINA button for about 2 seconds.

Ambient Noise Sensing function

Sony's proprietary microphone sensing technology automatically detects noises around the speaker while music playback is in progress. It cuts out the bass sound that are disturbed by the ambient noise to reduce power consumption by the speaker and preserve the battery power*.

At the time of purchase, the Ambient Noise Sensing function is activated. You can deactivate the Ambient Noise Sensing function by doing either of the following:

* While the Ambient Noise Sensing function is activated and the speaker volume is maximized, the built-in battery life, depending on the surrounding environment, extends by up to 1 hour.

  • On “Sony | Music Center”, tap [SRS-XE300] - [Settings] - [Power Option] - [Power Optimization], and then select the check box for [Ambient Noise Sensing].

  • Press and hold the(play)/(call) button and the - (volume) button on the speaker simultaneously for about 5 seconds.

    • When the Ambient Noise Sensing function is deactivated, the STAMINA indicator flashes 3 times in white.

    • When the Ambient Noise Sensing function is activated, the STAMINA indicator flashes twice in white.

  • While the STAMINA power option is activated, the Ambient Noise Sensing function is disabled.
