Using the eyepiece cup
The eyepiece cup shades the area between the viewfinder and your eye to keep out light. Attaching the eyepiece cup improves the visibility of the viewfinder.

Loosen the screw (A) on the eyepiece cup until it can no longer be turned.

Attach the eyepiece cup (B) straight onto the viewfinder.

Tighten the screw to lock the eyepiece cup in place.
