Charging the speaker
The speaker can be used with either the AC adaptor (supplied) or the built-in lithium ion rechargeable battery.
Charge the battery by connecting the AC adaptor before using the speaker for the first time.
You can operate the speaker by battery instead of the AC adaptor by charging the speaker before use.
- Connect the supplied power cord (mains lead) to the supplied AC adaptor.
- Connect the AC adaptor to the DC IN 19.5 V jack.
- Securely plug the power cord (mains lead) into an AC outlet.
Charging starts, and the ON/STANDBY (power) indicator lights up in red. Charging is completed in about two hours*1, and the indicator turns off.
*1Time that is required to charge the empty battery to its full capacity.
Battery life (when using the BLUETOOTH connection)
About four hours. The time stated above may vary depending on the ambient temperature or conditions of use.
When the battery is running low
The ON/STANDBY (power) indicator flashes slowly in red. Please charge the speaker. Turn off the speaker when you charge it to charge more quickly.
Hint
- If the ON/STANDBY (power) indicator is not lit up while connected to an AC outlet while the speaker is off, the battery is fully charged. Once the battery is fully charged, it will not be charged furthermore even if the speaker is kept connected to an AC outlet.
Note
- Even if you do not intend to use the speaker for a long time, charge the battery to its full capacity once every six months to maintain its performance.
