Listening to FM radio broadcasts (Except for the NW-A55L)
Connect a pair of headphones to listen to FM radio. The headphone cord works as an antenna.
- Connect a pair of headphones to the player.
- On the library screen, tap .
The player will switch to the FM radio function.
The FM radio switch () will turn on automatically.
- Tap / () repeatedly to select a frequency ().If you have preset a broadcast station, tap / () repeatedly to select the preset station.
To scan the previous or next receivable station
Hold down / (). The player will start searching and stop when it receives a broadcast.
To change the scan sensitivity
Tap and then [FM Radio Settings]. Then, tap the desired setting for [Scan Sensitivity].
To change the monaural/auto setting
Tap and then [FM Radio Settings]. Then, tap the desired setting for [Mono/Auto].
Note
- Sound quality settings do not apply to FM radio.
- You cannot listen to FM radio while there is an active Bluetooth connection.
- If you disconnect the headphones while you are listening to the FM radio, the FM radio switch will turn off automatically. Even if you reconnect the headphones, the switch will not turn back on automatically. To listen to the FM radio again, reconnect the headphones and tap the FM radio switch again.
- The radio reception may not be stable if you use headphones other than the following.
- IER-NW500N/NW500NE
- MDR-NW750N/NW750NE
- While the FM radio function is active, Ambient Sound Mode is disabled.
