Usage hours (battery duration) are too short.

  • Usage hours of the rechargeable battery may become shorter when used in an environment of 5 °C (41 °F) or lower. This is due to the characteristics of the rechargeable battery and it is not a malfunction.
  • The charging time may not be sufficient. Charge the battery until the (Power) lamp (red) of the main unit is turned off.
  • When the volume is increased, usage of the rechargeable battery increases, and then usage hours become shorter.
  • When the main unit is not used for a long time, usage hours of the rechargeable battery may become shorter. In this case, repeat charging and discharging the battery for a few times.
  • When the power of the main unit is kept on even after using, the rechargeable battery may be exhausted. After use, turn off the main unit.
  • If the computer goes into power saving mode (standby, sleep, paused condition) while charging with the computer, turn off the power saving mode. The rechargeable battery of the main unit is exhausted when the computer goes into power saving mode. When charging is completed, disconnect the main unit from the computer immediately.
  • If usage hours of fully charged battery reduced about half of when you purchased, the battery is deteriorated. Visit the Company support site: https://www.sony.net/Products/NYSNO/support/
