About the indicators

CHARGE indicator

The indicator stays lit in orange. Battery charging is in progress.
The indicator flashes slowly in orange. The built-in battery is running at 20% or less and needs to be charged.
The indicator flashes 3 times in orange and goes out. The built-in battery is empty and needs to be charged.
The indicator stays unlit. Battery charging is complete.

Note

  • As long as the speaker is connected to an AC outlet by the supplied AC power cord (mains lead), the speaker can charge the built-in battery. Battery charging is also possible while the speaker is turned on.

    However, depending on the usage of the speaker, it may take a long time before charging completes. It is recommended that you turn off the speaker before battery charging.

  • For safety reasons, the speaker automatically stops charging in the following cases.

    • When the speaker is charged in an extremely hot or cold environment

    • When charging takes too long

    To resolve this issue, disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) and connect it once again in the operating temperature range of 5 °C to 35 °C (41 °F to 95 °F).

The indicator stays lit in orange. The speaker is turned off. The BLUETOOTH standby function is activated.
The indicator flashes in orange.

  • When the Auto Standby function is deactivated, the indicator flashes 3 times. To activate the function, press and hold the STEREO PAIR button and the LIGHT button on the speaker simultaneously for about 5 seconds.

  • When the Auto Standby function is activated, the indicator flashes twice. To deactivate the function, press and hold the STEREO PAIR button and the LIGHT button on the speaker simultaneously for about 5 seconds.
The indicator double flashes in orange. An abnormality in the interior temperature or in the built-in rechargeable battery is detected. Perform the following actions in succession.

  • Turn off the speaker.

  • Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) and wait for a while

  • Restart the speaker.

For details, see “Notes on charging.”
The indicator flashes 3 times in orange. An abnormality, in other words, an electric circuit error is detected. For example, this applies to invalid use of a button or disconnection of a BLUETOOTH connection. Wait for a while, then follow the steps that are described in “Restarting the speaker” to restart the speaker.
The indicator stays unlit. The speaker is turned off. The BLUETOOTH standby function is deactivated.

power button

The button stays lit in white. The speaker is turned on.
The button flashes slowly in white. An update is being applied to the pre-installed software.
The button stays unlit. The speaker is turned off.

BLUETOOTH indicator

The indicator stays lit in blue. The speaker is connected to a BLUETOOTH device.
The indicator double flashes in blue.

The speaker is in pairing mode.
The indicator flashes slowly in blue.

The speaker is waiting for a BLUETOOTH device to connect to.
The indicator stays unlit. The BLUETOOTH function is not activated on the speaker.

Multi color indicator (ULT button)

The indicator stays lit. (*) The sound mode is set to modes such as ULT1 or ULT2.
The indicator flashes 3 times in white. The volume dial on the speaker was operated and the volume is minimized or maximized.
The indicator stays unlit. The sound mode is set to FLAT.

(*) The lighting color of the ULT button on the speaker varies depending on the lighting mode.

Party Chain indicator

The indicator stays lit in white. The Party Chain function is activated on the speaker.
The indicator stays unlit. The Party Chain function is deactivated on the speaker.

STEREO PAIR indicator

The indicator stays lit in white. The Stereo Pair function is activated on the speaker.
The indicator flashes slowly in white. The speaker is waiting for a connection for the Stereo Pair function to be established. The indicator flashes when the connection for the Stereo Pair function fails.
The indicator stays unlit. The Stereo Pair function is deactivated on the speaker.

STAMINA indicator

The indicator stays lit in white. The STAMINA power option is enabled.
The indicator stays unlit. The STAMINA power option is disabled.

ECHO indicator

The indicator stays lit in white. The microphone echo level is set to 1, 2, or 3.
The indicator flashes in white.

While the microphone echo level is set to 1 or 2, the indicator behaves as follows:

When you press the ECHO button on the speaker, the indicator flashes once.
The indicator stays unlit.

  • The microphone echo effect is deactivated.

  • While the microphone echo level is set to 3, the indicator behaves as follows:

    When you press the ECHO button on the speaker, the indicator goes out. The microphone echo effect is deactivated as well.

  • The Karaoke features are deactivated.

KEY CONTROL flat indicator

The indicator stays lit in white. The key control level for the flat notes is set to a level between –1 to –6.
The indicator flashes in white.

  • When you press the KEY CONTROL flat button on the speaker, the indicator flashes once.

  • While the key control level for the flat notes is set to –6, the indicator behaves as follows:

    When you press the KEY CONTROL flat button on the speaker, the indicator flashes 3 times.
The indicator stays unlit.

  • The key control level for the flat notes is set to a level between 0 to +6.

  • The Karaoke features are deactivated.

KEY CONTROL sharp indicator

The indicator stays lit in white. The key control level for the sharp notes is set to a level between +1 to +6.
The indicator flashes in white.

  • When you press the KEY CONTROL sharp button on the speaker, the indicator flashes once.

  • While the key control level for the sharp notes is set to +6, the indicator behaves as follows:

    When you press the KEY CONTROL sharp button on the speaker, the indicator flashes 3 times.
The indicator stays unlit.

  • The key control level for the sharp notes is set to a level between –6 to 0.

  • The Karaoke features are deactivated.
