USB Power Supply
You can set whether to supply power when the camera is connected to a computer or other device via a USB cable and which of the two USB terminals to use for power supply.

(Setup) → [USB] → [USB Power Supply].The USB port setting screen will appear.

[USB Power Supply] → desired setting.
Menu item details
- Auto:
- Supplies power to the camera regardless of which of the two USB terminals is connected to a computer or other device.
- When computers or other devices are connected to both USB terminals, power is supplied from the device with the greater power supply.
- PORT1:
- Power is supplied only from the USB PORT 1 terminal when a computer or other device is connected.
- PORT2:
- Power is supplied only from the USB PORT 2 terminal when a computer or other device is connected.
- Off:
- Does not supply power to the camera even when a computer or other device is connected to either of the two USB terminals.
Operations available while supplying power via a USB cable
The following table shows you which operations are available/unavailable while supplying power via a USB cable.

Note
- Insert the battery pack into the product to supply power via USB cable.
- If you change [USB Power Supply] to a value other than [Off] while the USB cable is connected, power will be supplied according to the setting from the next time you connect the device. If you change the [USB Power Supply] setting to [Off], power supply will stop at that time.
