Audio settings in the External monitor app

You can monitor, record, or live stream the sound input from the connected camera.

To set the audio output while monitoring

You can select whether to output audio from the speaker of your device or headphones connected to your device.

  1. Tap (Settings icon) > [Monitor settings] > [Audio output].

  2. Select an option.

To adjust the audio quality while recording or live streaming

  1. Tap (Settings icon) > [Recording settings] or [Streaming settings].

  2. Tap [Bitrate], [Sample rate], or [Audio channel], and then select an option.


Hint

  • Audio input from an external microphone connected to your device will be enabled only if both of the following conditions are met:
    • The Android version of your device is Android 13.
    • Your device and the camera are connected using a USB 3.0 Super Speed cable.
    In this case, when an external microphone is connected to your device, the sound being monitored, recorded, or streamed will switch to the sound input from the connected external microphone.
