About the indicators

(power) indicator

Lights up (green) The speaker is turned on.
Lights up (orange) The speaker is in the BLUETOOTH/Network standby mode. The BLUETOOTH/Network standby mode can be set only when this speaker is connected to an AC outlet via the USB AC adaptor. When the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only, the BLUETOOTH/Network standby mode is not available.
Lights up (red) The speaker is in the standby mode.
Turns off The speaker is in the power saving mode.
Flashes (green) When you turn on the speaker, the indicator flashes slowly in green, then lights up in green.
When you turn off the speaker, the indicator flashes slowly in green, then lights up in orange or red. While the indicator is flashing, the speaker is not operational.
When you press the -/+ (volume) buttons, the indicator flashes once or three times according to the volume adjustment.
Flashes (red) The speaker is in the protect mode, or the software update has failed. See "The power indicator flashes in red."

CHARGE indicator

Turns off Charging the speaker is completed.
The indicator is off while charging with the speaker turned on.
Lights up (orange) The speaker is being charged.
Flashes slowly (orange) The built-in battery is running low. Charge the speaker.
Flashes (orange) When you connect a micro-USB cable to the DC IN 5 V jack, the indicator flashes three times. When the speaker is turned on, the indicator will eventually turn off.
If the indicator continues flashing with the speaker turned off, the charging has failed. See "The CHARGE indicator flashes."

LINK indicator

Turns off The speaker is not connected to a network.
Lights up (orange) The speaker is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Flashes (orange) The speaker is in the process of connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
Flashes (red) The network connection failed.
Lights up (red) The network connection failed, or connection failed even though the network setting is complete.

AUDIO IN indicator*1

Lights up (white) The speaker is in the AUDIO IN mode.

USB indicator*1

Lights up The speaker is in the USB mode.

BLUETOOTH indicator*1*2*3*4

Lights up (white) The speaker is connected to a BLUETOOTH device.
Flashes quickly (white) The speaker is pairing with a BLUETOOTH device.
Flashes (white) The speaker is searching for a BLUETOOTH device to connect.

NETWORK indicator*1*2*4

Lights up (white) The speaker is in the NETWORK mode.
Lights up (green or light blue) The speaker is connected to a music service.

UPDATE indicator*5

Lights up (orange) The speaker detected the availability of a software update while connected to the Internet. After pressing and holding the UPDATE button for 2 seconds while the indicator is lit, the software update starts when the speaker beeps.
Flashes (orange) The speaker is updating the software. During the update, you cannot operate the speaker.
When the speaker turns on for the first time after the software update, the UPDATE button flashes three times to inform you that the update has completed.

EXTRA BASS indicator

Lights up You can enjoy the bass sound effect.
Turns off The bass sound effect is not activated. This is set as the default.

/ indicators

Lights up or flashes depending on the status of the speaker while the Wireless Surround function, the Wireless Stereo function, or the Speaker Add function*6 is on.

*1When checking the Wi-Fi signal strength (reception sensitivity), the indicator is lit while connected to the Wi-Fi network.

*2When switching the wireless function to on/off, the indicator flashes.

*3When switching the BLUETOOTH audio streaming playback quality of the speaker, the indicator flashes.

*4When disabling the Wi-Fi network function and BLUETOOTH network function, the indicator flashes.

*5If the software updating has failed, the indicator is lit.
