Updating the pre-installed software
When a new version of the software is released, you can update your speaker’s pre-installed software by using the following methods.
By updating the software, new features will be added enabling you to experience more convenient and stable use.
Preparation for update
Software updates become possible when the speaker is in the following states.

The speaker is connected to the AC outlet with the supplied USB AC adapter.
(Software updates cannot be performed when using with the built-in rechargeable battery.) -
The speaker is connected to the Internet via a Wi-Fi network.
- Update method 1: Automatic update via the Internet
When the speaker is connected to the Internet, it can detect a new software version and automatically update when you are not using the speaker. This feature requires speaker settings to be made. - Update method 2: Manual update via the Internet
When the speaker is connected to the Internet, it can detect a new software version and if found, and the UPDATE indicator lights up in orange to inform you. This is the default setting.
Hint
- The UPDATE indicator is located on the rear of the speaker.
- The UPDATE indicator turns off and the speaker switches to standby mode or BLUETOOTH/Network standby mode automatically when the updating is completed.
When the speaker is turned on for the first time after updating, the UPDATE indicator flashes in orange three times.
