The speaker is not responding to any voice commands

When all of the status indicators (Google Assistant) on the front of the speaker are lit in orange, the built-in microphone is turned off and the speaker is incapable of detecting voice commands. Press the
(microphone off) button. -
In a noisy place or a place that is exposed to strong winds or echoes (sound reflections), the speaker may fail to detect the voice command. In such a case, press and hold the
(play) button for about 3 seconds. This action is equivalent to saying “Ok Google” to the speaker. -
Make sure that the built-in microphone is not blocked.

You may have given the voice command too quickly for your speaker to detect. Try talking to the speaker a little more slowly.
