Cnt Shoot Speed Boost

You can temporarily perform continuous shooting at a specified speed. By quickly changing the continuous shooting speed according to the situation, you can shoot only decisive moments in high-speed continuous shooting and reduce the number of shots in other scenes.

  1. MENU (Setup) → [Operation Customize][Custom Key/Dial Set.] → Assign [Cnt Sht Spd Bst w/ Hold] or [Cnt Sht Spd Bst Toggle] to the desired key and set the continuous shooting speed when using [Cnt Shoot Speed Boost].
    • You can also set the continuous shooting speed in MENU (Shooting) → [Drive Mode][Cnt Sht Spd Bst Settings].
  2. Press the key to which you have assigned [Cnt Sht Spd Bst w/ Hold] or [Cnt Sht Spd Bst Toggle], and then shoot the picture.

Hint

  • When [Shutter Type] is set to [Electronic Shutter], you can use [Cnt Shoot Speed Boost] during continuous shooting.
  • You can use [Cnt Shoot Speed Boost] while pressing the shutter button halfway down with the following settings.
    • [Shutter Type] is set to [Electronic Shutter], and [Drive Mode] is set to [Cont. Shooting].
    • [Shutter Type] is set to [Mechanical Shutter], [Drive Mode] is set to [Cont. Shooting], and [Anti-flicker Shoot.] is set to [Off].
  • When shooting using [Cnt Shoot Speed Boost], the electronic shutter is used.
  • If you use [Cnt Shoot Speed Boost] during continuous shooting, the playback group will be divided before and after the continuous shooting speed boost.
  • In [Reg. Custom Shoot Set], you can register [Cnt Shoot Speed Boost] instead of the drive mode. In this case, the continuous shooting speed can be set separately from [Cnt Sht Spd Bst Settings].
  • By using [Reg. Custom Shoot Set], you can change other shooting settings and execute [Cnt Sht Spd Bst Settings] at the same time.

Note

  • If you use [Cnt Shoot Speed Boost] during continuous shooting and change the continuous shooting speed as follows, continuous shooting may be interrupted.


    Switching from low to high speed:

    • When [RAW File Type] is set to [Compressed]: Switching to 30 images per second or higher
    • When [RAW File Type] is set to [Compressed(HQ)] or [Lossless Comp]: Switching to 15 images per second or higher

    Switching from high to low speed:

    • When [RAW File Type] is set to [Compressed]: Switching to 20 images per second or lower
    • When [RAW File Type] is set to [Compressed(HQ)] or [Lossless Comp]: Switching to 10 images per second or lower
