Top side

This is an illustration of the top side of the camera. The illustration shows the location of each part on the top of the camera with the lens facing towards you. The viewfinder is in the center of the top, and part number 8 is located on top of the viewfinder. Starting from the left side of the viewfinder and going counterclockwise, there are buttons numbered 1 to 7. Part number 9 is located on the right side of the viewfinder.

  1. Still/Movie/S&Q dial

    You can switch the shooting mode.
    Turn the Still/Movie/S&Q dial while pressing the lock release button on the front of the dial.

  2. Mode dial

    The mode dial is unlocked for as long as you press the lock release button in the center of the dial.
    “AUTO” is located on a protrusion. Use the protrusion as a guide for operation.

  3. Rear dial L

    You can quickly adjust the settings for each shooting mode.

  4. Rear dial R

    You can quickly adjust the settings for each shooting mode.
    Pressing the lock button at the center switches the dial between the locked and unlocked status. The dial is unlocked when the lock button is popped up and the white line is visible.

  5. MOVIE (Movie) button

  7. C2 button (Custom button 2)
  8. Multi Interface Shoe*

    Some accessories may not go in all the way and protrude backward from the Multi interface shoe. However, when the accessory reaches the front end of the shoe, the connection is completed.

  9. Image sensor position mark
    • The image sensor is the sensor that converts light into an electric signal. The position of the image sensor is indicated by (Image sensor position mark). When you measure the exact distance between the camera and the subject, refer to the position of the horizontal line.

    • If the subject is closer than the minimum shooting distance of the lens, the focus cannot be confirmed. Make sure you put enough distance between the subject and the camera.
