Setup and Operation Flow

Perform setup and operation in the following sequence to use PWA-RXS.

  1. Setup
    1. Configuring network settings

      Install PWA-RXS and connect to the network. An internet connection is required to connect cameras in the field (shooting site) to PWA-RXS. Also, the router, firewall, and transmitters, such as cameras, must be configured.
      For details about configuration, refer to the “System Integration Guide.”

    2. Installing an SSL/TLS certificate

      An SSL/TLS certificate issued by a certificate authority (CA) is required to use PWA-RXS. Install the SSL/TLS certificate obtained from the certificate authority on the connection manager PC.
      For details about installation, refer to the “System Integration Guide.”

    3. Configuring PWA-RXS

      Configure the following settings on the connection manager.

      • Configuring the connection manager
        Configure the authentication information required for connecting to systems (such as account settings) and transmitters/receivers.

      • Configuring external file transfer (export)
        Configure destination servers and transfer presets as file transfer destinations. Then assign transfer presets to transmitters.

      • Configuring an FTP server
        Configure an FTP server for receiving files uploaded from transmitters.

      • Applying licenses
        Register or update purchased licenses.

    4. Configuring live streaming receivers

      • Registering streaming receivers
        Register streaming receivers with the connection manager using the Initialization Tool.

      • Configuring receive/output settings on the connection manager
        Configure the live streaming output on the connection manager.

  2. File transfer operation

    Do one of the following, depending on the type of transmitter.

    • Setting a camera to network client mode
    • Configuring the smartphone app (Creators' App for Enterprise)
    • Configuring LiveU transmitters/receivers
    • Starting file transfer
  3. Live streaming operation
    • Setting a camera to network client mode
    • Configuring live streaming using SRT
    • Starting live streaming
  4. Other operations

    Perform the following, as required.

    • Displaying the camera control screen
    • Displaying shooting locations on a map
    • Transferring camera clips
