Additional camera settings

Tap as follows to select the setting you want to change.

  • Grid lines

    On / Off: You can set whether or not to display grid lines to assist you with the composition of images.

  • Use Volume button as

    Zoom / Volume / Shutter: You can change the way you use the volume button.

  • Audio signals

    You can select whether or not the camera produces sounds, such as a shutter sound, sounds at the start and end of video recording, and a series of beeps for the countdown when you use the self-timer.

  • Data storage

    Internal storage / SD card: You can select whether to store photos and videos on your device’s internal storage or on a microSD card.

    Hint

    • It is recommended that you use a microSD card with Video Speed Class 30 (V30) or above.
  • Save location

    On / Off: You can save your photos and videos with the locations where they were taken.

  • Press and hold shutter button

    Video recording: You can start video recording in the Photo mode when you press and hold the shutter button.

    Switch modes: You can quickly switch between the Photo mode and Video mode when you press and hold the shutter button.

    Off: No action is set for pressing and holding the shutter button.

  • Accessibility

    You can display a link to accessibility information.

  • Software license

    You can display software license information.

  • Reset settings

    You can reset all settings to their defaults.

    Hint

    • When you use the Camera app for the first time, reset the Camera app settings, or perform a factory data reset of your device, you will be prompted to select an action to assign to long-pressing the shutter button. To change the assigned action, find and tap as follows.

      (Settings) > [Menu] > [Press and hold shutter button]
