Precautions

  • This unit is designed to be dustproof and splash-proof, but it is not waterproof. Make sure the unit is not exposed to rain when using the unit outdoors in the rain.
  • Do not insert the USB connector when the unit is wet. Also, when inserting, make sure that no other objects can get in.
  • To avoid the risk of damage or a malfunction, observe the following:
    • This unit is precision equipment. Do not drop the unit, hit it, or subject it to a strong physical impact.
    • Do not use or store this unit in a place subject to high temperatures and humidity.
    • When using this unit outdoors, keep the unit from exposure to rain or seawater.
    • Do not sit down with the unit in your back pocket.
  • The supplied USB Type-C cable is compatible only with this unit.
  • If dust or water droplets are present on the surface of the unit (microphone, wind screen, etc.), a successful recording may not be possible. Be sure to clean the microphone surface before using this unit.
  • Depending on the communications environment of devices connected to the unit and the surrounding conditions, noise or sound interruptions may occur.
  • If the connected device transmits wireless signals during recording, noise may be produced in the recording. In such cases, set the connected device to airplane mode.
  • When the unit exterior is dirty, wipe it clean with a soft dry cloth.
  • While this unit is connected, no sound will be output from the speakers of the connected device. If you are listening to audio through the speakers, disconnect this unit from the connected device after recording is complete.
  • After use, disconnect the unit from the connected device and store it. If you use the unit while it is still connected, excessive force may be applied to the connector, causing it to break.
  • On smartphones that allow you to configure OTG settings individually, this feature may be turned off by default. In that case, enable OTG connectivity in your smartphone’s settings.
