Distorted sound/humming or noise from the speaker

  • Select “Priority on stable connection” for the BLUETOOTH audio streaming playback quality.
  • Bring the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device closer together. Remove any obstacles between the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device.
  • The BLUETOOTH connection may make noise or distorted sound and fail to connect in the following case/place;
    • There is an obstacle such as metal or wall between the speaker and BLUETOOTH device.
    • A place that a wireless LAN device or a microwave oven, or a device that generates electromagnetic radiation is in use near the speaker.
  • Running a lot of applications on the smartphone/iPhone/iPod touch loads the operation of these devices. This may cause troubles on transmitting the BLUETOOTH signal. In this case, try the following to improve breaking up sound, humming, or noise.
    • Close all applications not in use.
    • Reboot the smartphone/iPhone/iPod touch and connect it to the speaker via the BLUETOOTH.
  • There are some BLUETOOTH devices that can have the wireless playback quality changed. If your device is compatible with this function, select a setting that prioritizes stable connection over sound quality. For details, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the device.
  • Check that the equalizer function of the connected device is set to off.
