SHUTTER DISPLAY

You can set the shutter speed display (Movie mode only).

  1. MENU button - (DISPLAY SET) - [SHUTTER DISPLAY].

Descriptions of menu items

SECOND:

Displays the shutter display in seconds.


DEGREE:

Displays the shutter display in degrees.
The shutter speed equal to the period that your camcorder reads image data from the image sensor is defined as 360 degrees. The degree is calculated based on this definition and displayed.
The setting items differ depending on the setting of (OTHERS) - [60i/50i SEL].


When selecting [60i]:

  • When selecting the setting value of [REC FORMAT] whose frame rate value is 60, the shutter angle is 360 degrees when the shutter speed is 1/60.
  • When selecting the setting value of [REC FORMAT] whose frame rate value is 30, the shutter angle is 360 degrees when the shutter speed is 1/30.
  • When selecting the setting value of [REC FORMAT] whose frame rate value is 24, the shutter angle is 360 degrees when the shutter speed is 1/24.


When selecting [50i]:

  • When selecting the setting value of [REC FORMAT] whose frame rate value is 50, the shutter angle is 360 degrees when the shutter speed is 1/50.
  • When selecting the setting value of [REC FORMAT] whose frame rate value is 25, the shutter angle is 360 degrees when the shutter speed is 1/25.

Note

  • When you press the ASSIGN button to which [DATA CODE] is assigned, the shutter speed is displayed in seconds regardless of this setting.

Hint

  • If the shutter speed is more than 360 degrees, it is displayed as an integral multiple of 360 degrees (360˚x2, etc.).
