Resetting your apps
You can reset an app or clear app data if your app stops responding or causes issues with your device. Resetting app preferences does not delete any app data from your device.

Find and tap as follows.
[Settings] > [Apps]

Tap one of the following to show the All apps screen.
[See all apps] or [All apps]

Tap as follows.
(More) > [Reset app preferences] > [Reset apps]
To clear app data

Find and tap as follows.
[Settings] > [Apps]

Select an app or service, and then tap as follows.
[Storage & cache] > [Clear storage] > [Delete]
To clear app cache

Find and tap as follows.
[Settings] > [Apps]

Select an app or service, and then tap as follows.
[Storage & cache] > [Clear cache]
To clear the app default setting

Find and tap as follows.
[Settings] > [Apps]

Select an app or service, and then tap as follows.
[Open by default] > [Clear default preferences]
Note
- The option to clear the app data, cache, or default setting is not available for every app or service.
