Jumping forward/back a fixed number of seconds (Easy Search)

With the Easy Search function, you can quickly locate your desired playback point. This function is useful for activities such as language learning and taking minutes of a meeting as it helps you go over to the section that you could not make out or skip unnecessary sections.

  1. While playback is on standby or in progress, select [Easy Search] on the OPTION menu, and then press(play/enter/stop).

  2. Press(review/fast backward) or(cue/fast forward) to select [Set Skip Time], and then press(play/enter/stop).
  3. Specify the skip time period for fast reversing or fast forwarding.

    Press(review/fast backward) or(cue/fast forward) to select [Forward Skip Time] or [Reverse Skip Time], and then press(play/enter/stop).

    Repeat the same button operation to select a skip time period for fast reversing or fast forwarding, and then press(play/enter/stop).

    When the skip time period for fast reversing or fast forwarding is specified, the Easy Search function is turned on.

  4. Press(review/fast backward) or(cue/fast forward) to select [ON], and then press(play/enter/stop).

Descriptions of menu items

You can select one of the following items:

OFF:
Turns off the Easy Search function (default setting).
ON:
While playback is in progress, you can jump forward or backward by the specified time period by pressing(cue/fast forward) or(review/fast backward). This operation is useful for locating your desired playback point in a recording, such as a recording of a meeting.
Set Skip Time:
  • Forward Skip Time: Select a skip time period for fast forwarding when (cue/fast forward) is pressed from 5 Sec, 10 Sec (default setting), 30 Sec, 1 Min, 5 Min, and 10 Min.
  • Reverse Skip Time: Select a skip time period for fast reversing when(review/fast backward) is pressed from 1 Sec, 3 Sec (default setting), 5 Sec, 10 Sec, 30 Sec, 1 Min, 5 Min, and 10 Min.

Note

  • While in time jump mode, you cannot use the Easy Search function.
