Continuous shooting

You can shoot still images continuously and find the best shot.

Note

  • In the BASIC (Basic) mode, the [Continuous shooting] and [Focus mode] functions are available while using the main camera in a photo mode.

Turning the [Continuous shooting] function on or off

  1. Tap the Drive mode button, and then select an option.

    BASIC (Basic) mode

    • [HDR continuous shooting: Hi]: Shoots HDR images continuously at a high speed.
    • [HDR continuous shooting: Lo]: Shoots HDR images continuously at a low speed.
    • [Continuous shooting: Hi+]: Shoots images continuously at the maximum speed. The speed reaches a maximum of 30 images per second.
    • [Continuous shooting: Hi]: Shoots images continuously at a high speed. The speed reaches a maximum of 20 images per second.
    • [Continuous shooting: Lo]: Shoots images continuously at a low speed. The speed reaches a maximum of 10 images per second.
    • [Single shooting]: Shoots a single image.
  2. Tap (Close button) to close the menu.

    You can also close the menu by tapping the viewfinder.

To select the focus method according to the movement of the subject

  1. Tap [MENU].

  2. Find and tap [Focus mode], and then select an option.

    • [Single-shot AF]: The camera locks the focus once focusing is complete. Use [Single-shot AF] when the subject is motionless.
    • [Continuous AF]: The camera continues to focus while the screen shutter button is touched and held (or while the device shutter button is pressed). Use [Continuous AF] when the subject is in motion.
  3. Close the menu.

    The setting is saved.

Shooting images continuously

  1. Touch and hold the screen shutter button or long press the device shutter button.

    The number of pictures taken is indicated in the viewfinder.

  2. Release the shutter button.

    All photos are saved.

To select the best shot

  1. Tap the thumbnail to view the results.

  2. Scroll through the images you shot and select the image that you want to save.

  3. Tap (Burst icon), and then select an option.

Note

  • The speed of continuous shooting decreases when the buffer memory of your device becomes full.

Hint

  • You can shoot images continuously at a maximum rate of 10 images per second with Bokeh effect in the BASIC (Basic) mode. Tap the Drive mode button, and then select [Continuous shooting: Lo]. Even if you select a continuous shooting setting other than [Continuous shooting: Lo], it will automatically change to [Continuous shooting: Lo] when the Bokeh effect is turned on.
