Using the microSD card as a storage for recorded files

In addition to the built-in memory, you can record files on a microSD card (not supplied).

Note

  • If the microSD card is being used for the first time on your IC recorder, be sure to use your IC recorder to format the microSD card. Formatting the microSD card deletes all data that is stored on it. Back up your data before formatting. For instructions on formatting the microSD card, see Formatting the memory (Format Built-In Memory/Format SD Card).
  • For information on microSD cards that can be used, see Compatible memory cards.
  1. Make sure that no IC recorder operations are in progress, and then open the cover of the microSD card slot.

  2. Insert the microSD card into the microSD card slot until it clicks into place, and then close the slot cover.

    The information necessary for operation is read and [Please Wait] appears.

    Note

    • Insert the microSD card if [Please Wait] does not appear on the screen or when not recording, playing back, or editing a file.
    • Pay attention to the orientation of the microSD card’s pins, and insert the microSD card as illustrated.
  3. If [Change Recording Folder to SD Card?] appears, select [Yes].

    Select the folder in which to save, and then press(play) to enter your selection.

  4. If [Next, Change Recording Folder for FM Radio to SD Card?] appears (ICD-UX570F only), select [Yes].

    Select the folder in which to save, and then press (play) to enter your selection.

  5. Press REC/PAUSE to start recording.
  6. To stop recording, press STOP.

Removing the microSD card

Removing the microSD card while accessing it or during other processes may damage the data. Check that the operation indicator is off, and then remove the microSD card.

Note

  • Successful operations with all types of supported memory cards are not guaranteed.

  • If the microSD card is not detected by your IC recorder, remove it from the slot and then insert it back in.

  • Keep any liquid and any metal or flammable object away from the microSD card slot to avoid a fire or shock hazard or malfunctions of your IC recorder.

Hint

  • To remove the microSD card, push the microSD card into the slot. When it pops out, remove it from the microSD card slot.
