Dummy Odorant Settings

When you wish to display an odorant that is not configured in the cartridge settings as an answer choice in each process question, you can set it as a dummy odorant.

Configure the dummy odorant settings in Administrator Mode.

  1. Tap (Settings) in the upper right part of the “Scent Canvas” app Home screen followed by the [Admin Mode] (On/Off) switch to turn Administrator Mode on.
  2. Tap [ Dummy Odorant Settings] under (Settings) in the upper right part of the Home screen.
  3. Tap [Edit] for any number.

  4. Enter the odorant information (odorant name, etc.).

    • Image: Tap and choose any image saved on the tablet to set it as the thumbnail image.
    • Odorant name (*Required) : Register the dummy odorant name (maximum of 24 characters).
    • Description: Enter the description (maximum of 210 characters).
  5. Tap [Save].
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5.
  7. Tap [Complete] on the [Dummy Odorant Settings] screen.

Batch registering the dummy odorant information

Tap [Output CSV] (a) to output the CSV file and edit it on a computer.
When the editing is finished, save the CSV file to the tablet, tap [Import CSV] (b), and select the CSV file to load. Follow the on-screen instructions and tap [Save] to batch register the dummy odorant information.

Perform the operation above when editing registered dummy odorant information.

To copy and use the same [Dummy Odorant Settings] on another tablet

If you want to copy and use the same [Dummy Odorant Settings] on another tablet, migrate the data to the tablet as follows.

  • Export operation: While displaying the [Dummy Odorant Settings] you want to copy, tap [Output CSV]. The CSV file will be saved in the “dummy_info_yyyymmddhhmmss” folder. If images are registered in the [Dummy Odorant Settings], the image data will also be saved in the “pictures” folder.

    Copy the entire “dummy_info_yyyymmddhhmmss” folder to the tablet to which you want to migrate the data.

  • Import operation: On the tablet to which you want to migrate the data, tap [Import CSV] on the [Dummy Odorant Settings] screen. Then, select and import the CSV file in the “dummy_info_yyyymmddhhmmss” folder that you have copied. If there are images in the folder, they will be imported simultaneously.

Note

  • According to the CSV (Comma Separated Values) specifications, the comma (“,”) character cannot be used. If a comma (“,”) is entered, the “Scent Canvas” app will not correctly load the CSV file.
  • If the information is overwritten during registration, the previously registered information is erased.
