Menu Operation: Cinema Black Pro > HDR Tone Mapping

Analyzes the signal level in real time when an HDR signal is input and automatically adjusts the brightness and gradation balance depending on the scene, maintaining the gradation for a bright scene and improving the brightness and dark gradation for a dark scene.

  1. Press the MENU button.
  2. Select [Picture] - [Cinema Black Pro] - [HDR Tone Mapping] - the desired setting.

Settings

[Mode 1]

Brightness preferred mode compared to [Mode 2]. Recommended for viewing contents in a brighter environment.

[Mode 2]

Mode to balance the brightness and high gradation. Recommended for watching movies.

[Mode 3]

High gradation preferred mode, which becomes slightly darker then [Mode 2]. Recommended for viewing contents including high brightness information.

[Off]

Turn off the HDR tone mapping function.

Hint

  • When the HDR mode is working with HDR Reference, such as when [HDR] is set to [HDR Reference], this function is not available even when an HDR signal is input. Set [HDR] to [HDR10], [HLG], or [Auto] - [HDR10/HLG].
