What is eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel)?

The HDMI OUT A jack of the receiver supports the eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) function.

eARC is a new feature of HDMI Specification 2.1. It is designed to support the latest audio formats in addition to the audio formats already supported by conventional ARC.

When you connect an eARC-compatible TV to the HDMI OUT A jack of the receiver using an HDMI cable, you can enjoy object-based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos - Dolby TrueHD, and DTS:X as well as Multi Channel Linear PCM, which cannot be transmitted by ARC.
