Setting the Clock Automatically

You can synchronize the clock of the unit with the clock of mobile device connected via Bluetooth by linking with the “Creators' App for Enterprise” application.

  1. Install the “Creators' App for Enterprise” application on the smartphone.
  2. Connect the unit and the smartphone via Bluetooth.

Execute [Network] – [Bluetooth] – [Pairing] in the full menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

For details, refer to the “Creators' App for Enterprise” Help Guide.

  3. Set [Maintenance] – [Clock Set] – [Auto Date/Time Correction] and [Clock Set] – [Auto Time Zone Correction] to [On] to synchronize the time and time zone, respectively.

When using this function, it is recommended that both settings be set to [On].

Hint

  • If the unit does not respond correctly, check the following and pair the devices again.

    • Check that the unit is not connected via Bluetooth to another device.
    • Execute [Network] – [Network Reset] – [Reset] in the full menu.

Note

  • If you link time information with “Creators' App for Enterprise” and then set the time or time zone using the menu of the unit, the time recorded in the clip may be incorrect.
  • If “UTC *” is displayed in the setting field of [Clock Set] – [Time Zone], setting the time or time zone manually will cause the time to be incorrect. Turning the unit off and on again and enabling the location and time information link function will update the unit to the correct information. Wait until “UTC *” is displayed again.
  • When the unit is initialized, the pairing information is cleared. If you delete the pairing information from your smartphone, pair the devices again.
  • If Bluetooth communication is unstable, make sure there are no obstacles, such as other persons or metallic objects, between the unit and the smartphone.
  • If high-volume communication is in progress, such as streaming using the wireless LAN 2.4 GHz band, the operation may become unstable. For high-volume communication, consider using a wired LAN connection.
  • When making a Bluetooth connection, only pair with devices you trust. Avoid random pairing requests or connections to unknown devices.
  • When not using the Bluetooth function, turn the Bluetooth function off.
  • Check the list of paired devices regularly and remove any unnecessary devices.
  • If you delete the pairing information for the unit from your smartphone, delete the smartphone pairing information from [Bluetooth] – [Manage Paired Device].
