Speaker configuration and speaker pattern settings
Select the speaker pattern using [Speaker Pattern] in the [Setup] - [Speaker Settings] - [Manual Speaker Settings] menu according to the speaker configuration which you are using.

*1 For STR-AZ3000ES/STR-AZ5000ES, you can only set [Surround Back Speaker Assign] if the speaker pattern is set to a setting that does not have surround back speakers.
For STR-AZ7000ES, you can only set [Surround Back Speaker Assign] if the speaker pattern is set to a setting that does not have surround back speakers and to a setting other than [5.0.5.3(360RA Ref.)] or [5.1.5.3(360RA Ref.)].
*2 You can only set [Height1 Speaker Assign] if the speaker pattern is set to a setting that does not have height speakers and you do not use the Acoustic Center Sync function.
*3 You can only set [Height2 Speaker Assign] if height speakers is not connected to SPEAKERS HEIGHT 2 terminals and you do not use the Acoustic Center Sync function.
*4 You can only set [Height3 Speaker Assign] if height speakers is not connected to SPEAKERS HEIGHT 3 terminals and you do not use the Acoustic Center Sync function.
