Playing a Clip using the Player Screen

This topic describes how to play a clip.

  1. Tap (Menu) – [Clips].
  2. Select the type of clip.

    Tap the [Camera] tab for clips on media. Tap the [This device] tab for clips imported/recorded to a control device.

    Note

    • Depending on the camera, clips for which a proxy is not recorded cannot be played back.
  3. If [Slot A] and [Slot B] are displayed, select the slot and then tap a clip.

    Selecting the slot is not required to play a clip imported/recorded to a control device.

    The player screen for the selected clip appears.

  4. Play the clip using the player screen.

    PXW-Z300 / PXW-Z200 / HXR-NX800 / MPC-2610 / ILME-FX6

    (Play): Play the clip.

    (Stop): Stop clip playback.

    (Frame rewind)/ (Frame advance): Tap (Frame rewind) or (Frame advance) to rewind/advance the image one frame at a time.

    • To set the video playback start position
      Drag (Seekbar knob) in the seekbar or tap the seekbar to view the image at a desired position.
    • To return to the clip list screen ([Clips] screen)
      Tap (Previous screen) to return to the clip list screen ([Clips] screen).

     

    ILME-FX3 / ILME-FX3A / ILME-FX2 / ILME-FX30 / ILCE-7SM3

    (Play/Pause): Play/pause a clip.

    (5-second rewind): Rewind a clip 5 seconds.

    (5-second forward): Forward a clip 5 seconds.

    (15-second rewind): Rewind a clip 15 seconds.

    (15-second forward): Forward a clip 15 seconds.

    (Change screen area): Change the display area.

    Note

    • Playback is not supported in the following cases.
      • During camera operation or when the camera is not displaying the video recording standby screen
      • When executing a file transfer from the camera to a control device
      • When any of FTP transfer, network streaming, USB streaming, or cloud connection is enabled
      • When writing to media
      • When using a recording frame rate of 24.00p (when [File Format] is set to [XAVC S-I DCI 4K])
      • When using a recording frame rate of 100p or higher
      • When [File Format] is set to [XAVC HS 8K]
