Preparing to use the eARC function

  1. If the HDMI TV OUT jack on your receiver is labeled “ARC,” update the software of the receiver.

    For details, see “Updating the software “UPDATE”.”

    If the HDMI TV OUT jack on your receiver is labeled “eARC/ARC,” its software already supports the eARC function.

  2. Press AMP MENU.
  3. Select “<HDMI>” - “EARC” on the display panel.
  4. Select “ON”.

    The eARC function becomes available. When you connect an eARC-compatible TV to the receiver, the eARC function is activated. When you connect a TV that is compatible with ARC (but not compatible with eARC), the ARC function is activated.

Note

  • If “EARC” is not displayed in step 3, update the software of the receiver. For details, see “Updating the software “UPDATE”.”
  • If your TV has a similar menu for eARC, also check the relevant settings on the TV when you select “ON” for “EARC” on the receiver. For details, refer to the operating instructions of the TV.
