Release Lag/Start Disp.

still image

Sets whether to prioritize the shutter release time lag (the time difference between pressing the shutter button halfway to focus and pressing the shutter button fully down to start exposure) or the viewfinder/monitor display.

If you prioritize shortening the shutter release time lag or reducing variation in the shutter release time lag, a black image will be displayed on the screen (blackout) only during the first shot. (The second and subsequent shots will be blackout free.) If you prioritize the viewfinder/monitor display, a black image will not be displayed so that you can perform blackout-free shooting from the first shot.

  1. MENU (Shooting) → [Shutter/Silent][Release Lag/Start Disp.] → desired setting.
