Remotely launching the camera (Wake On LAN)

You can connect the camera to a computer via a wired LAN and launch the camera remotely from the computer.

This function can be used when the camera’s system software (firmware) is Ver.2.00 or later.


In advance, install the remote shooting software Remote Camera Tool on your computer, make sure it is connected to the camera via a wired LAN, and then configure the settings on the camera as follows.

  • Set [Wired LAN Connect] to [On]

  1. MENU → (Network) → [Cnct./Remote Sht.] → [Wake On LAN] → desired setting.

Menu item details

Enable:
Enables remote launching of the camera.
Disable:
Disables remote launching of the camera.

Hint

  • Regardless of the setting for [Wake On LAN], you can set the camera to power-saving mode remotely via Remote Camera Tool.
