Returning the aircraft to the Home Point

The function that automatically returns the aircraft to the Home Point (take-off position) is referred to as the RTH (Return to Home) function.

  1. On the flight screen in the “Airpeak Flight” App, tap (RTH (Return to Home)) and follow the instructions on the screen.

Conditions for RTH (Return to Home) to be executed automatically

In the following cases, the RTH (Return to Home) function is automatically executed.

  • When the battery level of the aircraft is low or the battery reaches an unsafe temperature
  • When unrecoverable software errors are detected
  • If the behavior of the aircraft when there is poor communication between the aircraft and the remote controller is set to RTH (Return to Home)
(You can set this in the setting menu of the “Airpeak Flight” App: (Settings) - [Aircraft] - [Safety functions].)
  • If the behavior of the aircraft after the mission ends is set to RTH (Return to Home) when creating a mission

To control the aircraft with manual intervention during RTH (Return to Home)

  • Operate the control sticks on the remote controller. While you operate the control sticks, movement according to RTH (Return to Home) will be interrupted, and the aircraft will move as directed by the control stick operations. Unlike normal manual flight operation, the aircraft will move at a speed suitable for fine adjustments to the path. To resume the aircraft’s movement according to RTH (Return to Home), release the control sticks to return them to the central position.
  • Aircraft’s movement by RTH (Return to Home) can be paused by pressing the (Automated flight pause) button on the remote controller. Even when paused, you can fine-tune the aircraft's position by operating the control stick on the transmitter. You can make fine adjustments to the aircraft’s position by the control stick operations of the remote controller even while the aircraft is paused. To resume RTH (Return to Home), tap (Automated flight start) on the flight screen of the “Airpeak Flight” App. (Automated flight pause) button on the remote controller does not resume RTH (Return to Home).

Note

  • When RTH (Return to Home) is activated under the following conditions, you cannot control the aircraft with manual intervention.
    • When unrecoverable software errors are detected
    • When there is poor communication between the aircraft and the remote controller
  • When RTH (Return to Home) is activated due to unrecoverable software errors, the obstacle avoidance function does not work.

To stop RTH (Return to Home) and switch to manual flight

During RTH (Return to Home), tap [Cancel] on the flight screen of the “Airpeak Flight” App.
