Applying a LUT to the Output Video
When you select log shooting mode and record the tonal range evenly from shadows to highlights, you can make fine adjustments in post-production. For example, restoring the tonal range in shadows or highlights locally.
However, when viewing recorded content on a regular monitor, the overall contrast is low, making it difficult to adjust settings such as focus and exposure.
The unit allows you to apply a LUT to the LCD monitor/viewfinder video to assist with various adjustments during shooting. You can also apply a LUT to the playback video to check the final result.
The LUT that is applied varies according to the following system types. However, only one LUT can be applied.
- HDMI output
- LCD monitor/viewfinder, proxy, streaming
Applying a LUT to the HDMI output video
Set [Shooting] – [LUT On/Off] – [
HDMI] to [LUT On] in the full menu.
The same operation is supported using an assignable button assigned with [ HDMI].
