Recording the HDMI Output Video

You can record the RAW video signal that is output from the HDMI connector of the unit on a compatible external recorder.

  1. Connect the external RAW recorder to the HDMI connector of the unit.
  2. Select one of [Project] – [Base Setting] – [Shooting Mode] – [Flexible ISO] / [Cine EI Quick] / [Cine EI] in the full menu.
  3. Select the imager size (FF only) using [Project] – [Imager Mode] in the menu or [Project] – [Rec Format] – [Imager Mode] in the full menu.
  4. Select [Project] – [Rec Format] – [Internal Rec / RAW Out] – [RAW (HDMI) Only] in the full menu.

    Selecting [Int. Rec & RAW (HDMI)] allows you to record video to a memory card in the unit at the same time as recording to the external RAW recorder.

  5. Check that the external recorder is turned on, then press the record START/STOP button of the unit.

Note

  • If you attempt to record to an external recorder without using the record START/STOP button of the unit, the output may not be recorded correctly.
