Notes on lending, transferring, or discarding memory cards

Formatting or deleting data on a memory card using the unit or a computer may not completely erase the data on the memory card. Before lending or transferring a memory card, we recommend that you delete any data on it completely using data deletion software on a PC. When discarding a memory card, we recommend that you physically destroy it.

Notes on network functions

When you use network functions, unintended third parties on the network may be able to access the unit, depending on the usage environment. For example, unauthorized access to the unit may occur in network environments to which another network device is connected or can connect without permission. Sony bears no responsibility for any loss or damage caused by connecting to such network environments.

Notes on location information

If you publish or share videos shot with the unit on the Internet while location data is linked using the “Creators’ App for Enterprise” application, the shooting location may be unintentionally made known to third parties. To avoid this issue, set [Technical] – [GPS] – [Location by Mobile App] to [Off] in the full menu of the unit before shooting.

Warning on copyrights

Anything shot using the camera that is prohibited under copyright law, other than for personal enjoyment, may not be used without permission from the copyright holder. Unauthorized recording of such materials may be contrary to the provisions of the copyright laws.
