Configuring De-Squeeze Display

When producing Cinemascope-sized video content, use an anamorphic lens for shooting.

You can output an image with the same aspect ratio as when viewing a subject directly, either via HDMI output or display on the LCD monitor/viewfinder, by adjusting the de-squeeze display setting to match the magnification of the anamorphic lens being used

Set the de-squeeze display ratio using [Project] – [Anamo. De-Squeeze] in the menu.

Hint

  • The de-squeeze display ratio can also be configured using [Project] – [Anamo. De-Squeeze] – [Ratio] in the full menu.

Note

  • For RAW output and SD signal output, the HDMI output video is not displayed de-squeezed.
  • Auto focus cannot be used when set to any value other than [Off(1.0x)].
