Dual Gain
The dual-gain function expands the dynamic range of dark areas in the video, allowing you to shoot video with smoother tonal gradations.
Dual-gain settings are available for custom shooting mode and log shooting mode.
-
Custom shooting mode
Set [Shooting] – [ISO/Gain] – [Base Sensitivity] to [Low(Dual Gain)] in the full menu. -
Log shooting mode
Set [Shooting] – [ISO/Gain] – [Base ISO] to [ISO 800(Dual Gain)] in the full menu.
Note
- There are conditions under which [Low(Dual Gain)] and [ISO 800(Dual Gain)] can be configured. For details, see “Imager mode and recording formats” in “Configuring Basic Operation.”
- Using the dual-gain function when shooting will significantly increase the power consumption, which may affect the continuous shooting time.
- It is not possible to switch the base sensitivity to [Low(Dual Gain)] or [ISO 800(Dual Gain)] using an assignable button assigned with [Base ISO/Sensitivity]. Also, if [Low(Dual Gain)] or [ISO 800(Dual Gain)] is selected in the full menu, an assignable button assigned with [Base ISO/Sensitivity] is disabled.
