Updating E-Mount Lens Software

You can update the software for an E-mount lens from the unit.

For details about lenses that can be updated and the corresponding software, refer to the website for the lens.

Checking the version

  1. Attach the E-mount lens to the unit.

    Note

    • Attach the lens while the unit is turned off.

  2. Select [Maintenance] – [Firmware] in the full menu.

    The version number of the E-mount lens and lens adaptor is displayed.

Updating the software

Set the unit to mass storage mode.

Update the software according to the instructions included with the lens software.

Note

  • The update cannot be performed unless the battery remaining capacity is 51% or higher. Use a sufficiently charged battery pack.
