Reducing Noise using the LOW CUT function of the XLR Handle Unit (ILME-FX5 only)

This function attenuates the low-frequency components of the audio input from the INPUT1/INPUT2/INPUT3 connectors, reducing unnecessary noise, such as wind noise, air conditioning noise, and vibration noise.

  1. Set the LOW CUT (INPUT1/INPUT2/INPUT3) switches.

    Select either “300Hz” or “100Hz,” depending on the noise you want to reduce.

    Note

    • The LOW CUT (INPUT1 and INPUT2) switches are enabled only when the corresponding INPUT1 (LINE/MIC/MIC+48V) switch or INPUT2 (LINE/MIC/MIC+48V) switch is set to the “MIC” position or “MIC+48V” position.
